This year started off with a bang for me since I spent New Year’s Eve with my friends and was away from family for the first time in my eighteen years of existence. We watched the ball drop as most people do that day and played some card games to pass the time. This is when I told myself that I would do things differently this year, which meant eating healthier and working out a lot more than I did the whole first semester of college. I played a lot more basketball that first semester but that doesn’t exactly count as working out, not to me at least.
I have been working out everyday this semester, as in running every day, a minimum of at least three miles a day. Then comes the hard part of the work out which includes sit ups, push up and pull ups, all three sets of them and the number of each one increases as the weeks go on. Pushups go up by two every week and sit ups by five and pull ups by one. I also lift weights three times a week sometimes four times a week. This is because I want to get stronger physically and not be just skin and bones.
Along with all of the activities above comes the most fun part which is playing basketball after doing all this about three times a week. I love basketball and have been playing since I was about eight. I used to be really bad at it but then with practice and growing about eight inches over one summer, I got a lot better and now I can’t stop playing. The sport requires both mental and physical strength which is another reason why I am lifting so that I can do more stuff on the basketball court and not just have to stick with shooting long three pointers.
The eating healthy part of my resolution is working out pretty well but the only bad thing about working out so much is that you eat more than you previously did, and at the weirdest times of the day which is not a good thing. This is the only thing that I need to work on and I will be on my way to making my resolution come true.

You seem to be doing pretty well on your resolutions, which is different then most people can say! So keep up the good work!
